We've
all seen ID Cards that look like they were produced using a copier
and laminator. You take a picture, cut it into a little square and
glue it to a paper card. The lamination starts peeling away from
the card in no time. Often the card is too big to put into a wallet.
Those days are over.
IDS-PLUS uses a plastic card, similar to a credit card for your
ID cards.
The images on the card are produced using a process called dye-sublimation.
Dye-sublimationis when the ribbons are heated to a certain temperature
and the dye on the ribbon then becomes a gas and penetrates into
the plastic printing surface. Three colors are printed separately
(yellow, magenta, and cyan) to produce all the colors, which gives
the card a unique and rich color look.
However,
these three colors combined do NOT print a crisp black. They tend
to look a dark brown. To compensate, a 4th color (black) is used.
This is important because barcode readers will have problems processing
a barcode produced by three colors. Text fields also look clearer
when printed with the black.
Do away with the old cards we all have seen and get a high quality
ID Card made by ID's-PLUS for your business, school, organization,
or just about anything else.
